Family Portraits by the Marina

This lovely family reached out to me to get some family portraits taken while they were all back together for a few days.  We had originally wanted to utilise the Townsville Marina for the portraits, but unfortunately the reflective lighting on the day wasn't being as cooperative as we had hoped, so we ended up using the beautiful adjacent ANZAC Park instead.

Portraits in a Hidden London Garden

I spent almost all of April this year travelling around England and Scotland with my wonderful husband, and of course, taking LOTS of photos. Before we left for our trip, I had researched to try and discover some lesser-known photography locations where we could take some portraits of ourselves together. I stumbled upon this hidden little treasure, located right in the middle of central London, only metres from the Tower of London, Tower Bridge and London Bridge. St Dunstan-in-the-East was a church

Extended Family Portraits: Part 2

Following on from Tony's family in Part 1 of our extended family photo sessions, we have our portrait session with Rebecca's family with their turn for photos (and lots of cuddles) with the newest little addition to the family. The ever-stylish and always amazing new parents, pictured here sans-baby (he makes many appearances later once he woke up from his nap).   And now everyone gets a turn for a cuddle. Proud dad moment! So much love for this little family

Extended Family Portraits: Part 1

Getting all of the family together at once is hard enough on its own, but when most of your extended family live out of town, it makes it a million times harder.  So the lovely Tony and Rebecca decided to do two photo sessions - each with one side of the extended family - to capture some photographs of their respective families with their beautiful new little baby boy.  First up, we had Tony's family. Sometimes you have to do and say some strange things to get the younger ones to look at

Mini Shoot Winner: Helen

Back in March, I held a little competition to win a free mini shoot to say thank you to all of my supporters.  The winner was the beautiful Helen, who chose to use her photography session for a couples shoot with her wonderful partner. Congratulations again Helen, and I hope you like the photos!  You were both so wonderful to work with, and I would love to work together again in the future. These two are both so natural in front of a camera! Seriously, such a pretty smile 🙂 And such

Family Portraits: Darwin

Over Christmas, I took a wonderful opportunity to go and visit some friends of mine who moved to Darwin about a year ago.  On the last afternoon of the trip, my gorgeous little goddaughter was playing around on my bed, and I happened to snap a few quick photos of her.  Then we decided to make the most of the opportunity and get mum and dad involved too, and here are some of the candid family photos that resulted. That cheeky smile! She seriously has the most gorgeous eyes! Those poses!

Family Portraits: North Ward

This wonderful family organised to take some family portraits together before some of them moved away from Townsville.  So to both capture Townsville as an icon, and the family's involvement in the local football community, we chose a location that brings both of these together.  I'm sure that these photos will always bring back treasured memories of their time in Townsville. Combining the iconic Castle Hill with the touch football fields where they've spend so many weekends together. Just

Family Portraits: Townsville Gardens

I always love when I get the call to take family portraits for someone, because it's something that is often neglected these days, and having those precious memories to look back on is always very special.  Particularly when distance often gets in the way of seeing each other as often as you might like, as in the case of this wonderful family.  These guys were an absolute dream to work with - genuine smiles, laughs and emotion really shine through, and I can't help but smile when looking back at

Family Portraits in the Park

I had a wonderful time taking photos of this beautiful little family.  Seriously, how can you call this work when you get smiles and giggles from little cuties like this all afternoon.  The little one was very cooperative considering the heat and mozzies on the day, and I'm really happy with the results. That face! No more kisses Mum and Dad! I'd love to know what she was thinking about here. Those eyes!

Christmas Family Portraits

Date | 25 November 2012   You might remember that back in June I took some photos of two sisters, part of which involved a cake smash?  Well the girls are back, along with the rest of the family for some Christmas family portraits.  The girls' mum did a great job organising and coordinating all of the costumes and props that you see in the photos. The littlest one really just wanted to climb all over Daddy. I love the look on the younger sister's face! Checking out the fountain and
